Campsite Rules
General Camping & Day Use Rules
- Enjoy your stay for a maximum of 14 consecutive days.
- Do not build long-term structures without permission.
- Return your site to its natural condition before leaving.
- Competitive events, commercial use, or large groups require permission.
- Pay camping and other service fees to the recreation site operator if applicable.
- Do not hold campsites or leave personal property unattended.
- Follow B.C.’s fire bans and restrictions.
- Follow B.C.’s campfire regulations and respect the use of fire for stoves and campfires.
- Do not cut trees or remove wood from the site.
- Do not light campfires during strong winds.
- Keep campfires small (0.5 m x 0.5 m) and within campfire rings provided.
- While campfire is lit, keep eight litres of water and hand tools close by.
- Do not leave campfires unattended.
- Before leaving, extinguish fires and ensure the campfire bed is cool to the touch.
- Report wildfires or unattended campfires by calling *5555 on a cell phone or 1-800-663-5555 toll-free.
Camping Fees
- Camping fees are paid for a 24-hour period beginning at 12:00 noon on the day camping begins, for a person, family, or party of six.
- Senior rates: Must be 65 years or older. Rate is reduced to 50% off the normal fee and applies to the senior and their spouse. ID is required (e.g., driver’s license) to qualify. Discount is only available on select First Come First Served sites.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD) rates: Must be designated as a “Persons With Disabilities” and receiving benefits under the BC Employment and Assistance Program. Rate is reduced to 50% off the normal fee and applies to the person with the disability and their spouse. Income from other provincial or federal programs such as CPP Disability and WCB Disability, etc., are not eligible. Discount is only available on select First Come First Served sites.
Vehicle Policy
- Maximum one vehicle per party, unless the vehicle is towed.
- All other vehicles require payment of an additional camping permit.
- All off-road vehicles must have the required insurance coverage when traveling on Forest Service Roads. Find additional information about our Vehicle Policy here.
- Drive cautiously with a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
- All off-road vehicles must idle in/idle out.
- Roads are often used by visitors as paths and play areas.
- Do not drive over vegetation.
- Always properly wear a helmet when riding bikes, dirt bikes, and ATVs.
Parking
- Park in designated areas.
- Keep roads clear and do not block traffic.
- Unauthorized vehicles will be towed.
Courtesy
- Respect the peace and quiet of others.
- Obey all posted signs.
- Keep noise to a minimum, including music and generators, at all times.
- Obey designated quiet time: 11 pm – 7 am.
- All guests must exit the site by 10 pm as gates are locked between 10 pm to 8 am unless an emergency.
- Generators may be used from 8 am – 10 pm as needed.
No Show Policy – All Sites
- All reservations are held until 9:00 pm of the day you are scheduled to check in.
- If you have not notified the campground host of late arrival and you have not arrived by 9:00 pm, the site is considered forfeited.
- No refund will be provided and your reservation will be canceled.
Environmental Responsibility
- You pack it in, you pack it out.
- Do not litter.
- Deposit garbage in containers if provided.
- Do not empty your holding tank or dump garbage in toilets.
Safety and Conduct
- Do not discharge firearms, bows, crossbows, or set traps.
- Do not leave game entrails on the site.
- Do not discharge fireworks.
- Do not leave personal property unattended. Unclaimed property will be removed after 24 hours.
These rules are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors while preserving the natural environment of the recreation sites.
